Jim-

So I downloaded both of the Power Corrupts to listen to see how the two groups played different and I see that #105 is 1:40:00 long and #109 is 3:30:00 long.

Why is this?

Cheers

The first play through (#105) had no story to it, really - I made it up as we went along. The purpose there was really just to test the mechanics of the 'powers'. By the second play through (#109), I had filled out the story quite a bit, allowing the players to do quite a bit more running around.

Take 2 – Group 2

A little bit long, but not a little bit better.

It was good to see more of the powers and what they did; kind of like Christmas or seeing what vehicle coming out of Thunderbird ship #2. “FAB” Though the deliverance of each player’s power had a less dramatic delivery (just roll a d6 and poof, you get this power) than the first playtest; not based on your primary or highest characteristic.

As the adventure began to start rolling, it felt like the feeling and presence of Cthulhu was better played out during the first playtest by trapping all the players in the collapsed college. The second playtest could have done away with the MIB, since all that the group had to do was scat and most of them would have escaped and poof… end of adventure. The MIB did not feel like they were similar to the collapsing college building that trapped them.

The information given by the players seemed to fill in the story a lot better than the first playtest.

Overall I did enjoy the first playtest better.

Since it is coming up on a year since this playtest, when will the adventure be available for download?

Cheers
