I'm guessing that they should have investigated where the 'happy' people were being taken to?

I was expecting either that, or attempting to find the park management to complain to them.

Excellent play. Reminds me of my younger days, enjoying the sun at Valley Fair in Minnesota.

Love the name of the adventure, Happi Valli instead of Happy Valley.

Under the scenario’s name, you state, “…Call of Cthulhu playlets” What is a playlets?

Interesting concept of the park’s layout with the spiral. I just took a look at the map for Valley Fair and I could imagine what the map would look like for Happi Valli. Too bad you did not get it made in time.

Though an excellent story, I did have to listen to it twice as I thought I missed out on the source. But after the second listening, I still have no idea what is producing the source.

So we do not get to know what was going on because of the character’s outcome?

Since at the end of the podcasts you usually give a recap, can we get one since it was cut short?

Around 1:29:30, the players talk about a possible process: hypnotize / drugs. I thought the food, but it happened before they ate anything.

Would have loved to have heard the encounter if the group went through the Tunnel of Love. Though a carousel ride would have been awesome having the horses turn and attack the characters. As a teenager, when I rode the Octopus, the “Monster” at Valley Fair, it scared the out of me. Though the “Tilt-a-Wirl”, now called the “Tilter”, was scarier.

Nice music insert to tell of the scenario length, player replacement and yes, a very anti-climatic conclusion of the scenario.

Tango / Cash LOL Love it when the players fill in the scenario and the Keeper just goes with the flow.

I could see this adventure being played in the “Little Fears” RPG.

No recap at the end, no outro, just a cutoff. “Wow, this was a short session wasn’t it?” Ha, ha, ha. :-( Disappointing.

Players also need to invest in a non-clattering area they can roll their dice onto. Dice on glass a few times was ok, then grrr…

All in all another great scenario designed by Jim Phillips.

“Hope you had fun!”

“Have a nice day!”

“Happi!”

Cheers

What version of Call of Cthulhu were you using for this playtest?

I noticed some different terminology.

I know of a hard roll, but an extreme?
