I really enjoyed this one as it was interesting to hear everyone's comments during play on the adventure at hand.
So I'm glad that Jim ended up leaving them in as I must admit that I've had to buy a copy of the Unspeakable Oath now just to see what changes have been made to the adventure. As the whole plan to kill the creature was just insane, funny as hell but still just insane.
I forgot to mention that the music I used on my keeper notes is from the album of Eternal Lies from Pelgrane Press.

I don't want to sound like a troll or anything but the game notes would be just as interesting after the gameplay, to those who find them interesting. To those who don't - ouch...
I see this as a fairly big problem for most actual play podcasts; that they don't get straight into the gameplay. You guys are usually pretty good about it and that's one reason I listen.
OMG, it's 30 minutes into the podcast and he's still going on. I really am a fan but this is painful.
Otherwise, you guys are great! Keep it up. :D

Just finished listening to it. Had trouble keeping from laughing at some parts. First thing I thought of when I people being attacked high up was the film 'Q, The Winged Serpent'. Now that's something that'd make a great scenario...

I have to disagree (goofy scenario, expecting a bit too much from the players) and say that I enjoyed the search and destroy concept of this play test very enjoyable.
Was good that the comments were kept in as it is good to hear what people like and dislike; plus do not know what the audio would have sounded like with a bunch of holes in it from the deleted comments. Though it is Jim we are talking about and his editing MAGIC… KAPOW!!!
As for adventures and the characters that enter; it seems that all adventures are the same with the characters start off with, “…you are all here for X reason…” So whether you are BASE jumpers, physicists, occultists, etc..., there is a reason that they are pursuing; though some stronger than others.
I did not really hear why Rob thought that the library and morgue would be more believable if based in the 1920’s instead of the present day; why is that? Internet issue? Information availability issues?
It seemed that I do not know if the players just did not care about what to do or if they did not know what to do. The reason I say this is that I know that the players are not “Noobs.” When Jim had to give major pushes (3-4 times) and tell the players what to do to get them to investigate certain areas that are easy to find based on a basic roleplaying game investigation path; gets one to question their playability or if they just wanted Jim to lead them.
So was curious to find out why this one-shot was almost 3 hours long; Randall talking for 34 minutes about the recap of “The Legacy of Arrius Lurco.” Definitely need these recaps to be put into their own podcast. I like it when the Keepers give an explanation of the adventure, at the end of the podcast, just in case the listener might have missed something; that has happened to me several times.
Coiled super-string dimensions??? I had to email my daughter, the future Nobel Prize winning physicist, to find the answer to this one. Maybe this will jog her brain to do different research. LOL
I was using my iPod, with earbuds, to listen to this podcast and throughout the podcast it sounded like someone was playing with coins or flicking a lighter; plus around 1:40:00 and throughout most of the rest of the podcast, it sounded like a pulsating humming sound; annoying.
It was funny when Randall made his credit rating roll for Antonio, the photographer, and then the doctor says, “…I think your work is trash.” Surprising and funny.
Just like the different outcome from the doctor, I would have liked to see the morgue attendant act a different way towards the characters that sounded like they were down-talking towards how the morgue attendant talked. (This advice is for Keepers/GM/DM/Judges out there to do towards difficult players.)
The Generic Coffee House – Sounds like a great name for a new coffee house; hmmm. I see a new wave franchise coming about. $$KACHING$$
So with the complaints of this not being a good play tested adventure, will you be running this adventure again with different players when it becomes published? Looking forward to the new running and a comparison talk after that game play.
