Hi Guys, An interesting one this, I did enjoy it but the adventure really had an unfinished air about it. It really did seem to be the first adventure in leading into a campaign and thus the ending presented was a little flat. But looking at how the adventure is written I'm not sure what David could have done to solve this apart from spinning it into a mini campaign So hopefully we will hear from the good Doctors again?.
Fair criticism. The scenario is very skeletal. As it was, I fleshed it out a little, but I didn't want to add too much material as we had already spilled over into a 2nd session. I could hardly believe that a 4-page scenario (half of which consists of maps and historical information) could last 2 whole sessions. While it could make the start of a campaign, following through with the logical plot would be quite tedious in my opinion, as it would involve unearthing similar locations, all around the globe, to simply swap stones.
Thanks for the replies, Yep I take your point it could end up as a Monster of the week style game go to dig site, fight Mythos rinse and repeat. But it was an interesting game and I'm looking forward to hearing you run more games in the future.
I hope so. I plan to get poor Charles out of the asylum and maybe pay more attention to his ramblings. Mmmmm now that gives me an idea. :)
Not really knowing the concept of adventure length (since I have never wrote a CoC adventure) versus the length of the podcast, it all ends with the accomplishments of the players and the speed of finishing the adventure.
Podcast was a bit confusing and had to do a lot of rewinding between the (eh, ums, ands) and the bad audio going haywire... Grrr...
Thought Jim was going to have a cameo in the second part. :-(
After all of this ending up with hairless monkey looking aliens, very lame ending.
Little light on the fighting and sanity. :-(
Looking forward to hearing David again as the Keeper.

There was some talk about a follow up campaign, but Dave will have to answer that. :)

Here's hoping David's schedule changes at some back to where he is able to rejoin us as well.
