This looks to be really good. I'd love to be able to download this and listen to it in my car - any chance of that?

Thanks for the interest. And yes, all our episodes are available for download. Hello all-

Going to start this 33 episode (73 hours) adventure of the "Legacy of Arrius Lurco" arc.

Looking forward to hearing all of the regulars.

Interested to hear what Jim is going to sound like as an Arab; if it is as good as his Ukrainian accent, then will be great.

So off we go...

Cheers

Good luck! This is not the best scenario/recording of the saga, Scion of Vulcan and Mask of the Funeral Clown are quite funny to listen to. There is a change of players in the middle of the campaign, since the Seths stop playing and even Toni at the very end, but then Jonathan and Dan joined Mike and Jim to finish it, even Gary appear a couple of times. This took us more than a year to play, so you can imagine why it changed so much.

I hope you like it.

Hello all-

Oh sure... Now you tell me about the "not the best" recording. Grrr...

Just to let those who are going to listen to this, the microphones are picking up a lot of noise all over the place and it sounds like the microphones are inside of a crunching Doritos bag. So either the location of the microphones are in a bad location or the microphones are high quality and are so dang sensitive that they pick up everything; so be ready for 8 hours of moving/crunching noises.

Is the sound issue because someone else is using a recording system or is Jim using the same recording system he has used on the previous podcasts? Interesting why now all of a sudden the sound is acting the way it is acting. Do not blame Skype... Skype is our friiiiieeeeend... LOL

I am liking these first 3 episodes you provided Randall. Very good story line introduction; very informative and very imaginative; yet the delivery by you, and then the return by the players, needs to pick up; was wanting to fall asleep there for a bit.

What is up with 2:05:26 and 2:06:39? Just a sudden TADA music... ??? LOL

I listened to the final Providence Cycle podcast, Slaves to the Cause, before this one and was surprised what the Keeper did to all of those kids on the beach. Now in Naufractus, surprised how the players are acting in the Roman age and what they did to those kids on the island and wondering if it was the age or the players acting that way. I do not see any alignment on the character sheets, so hopefully it must be the age. Great to see that someone is not afraid to write/act it out this way.

Thought Randall was funny with his death cry... "Friiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeend"

Was slightly disappointed with Jim’s Arabian accent; maybe gets better in the future episodes. Do not get me wrong; it was ok, but not as good as his Ukrainian accent from episodes: 083 - Silent Night & 016/017/020 - Untitled (Noir Cycle)

Ooops... My bad... Not 73 hours, only 63 hours. Math is one of my strong points. LOL

Thanks Jonathon. I believe there were several issues with the mic, again this was more than 2 years ago, now we tend to be more careful with the use of mics, although there are always accidents. In one episode of the Acthung Cthulhu line, I didn't notice the mic that was on was my computer and not my headset until I listened to the recording when it was released.

You will notice that the characters in the whole Arrius Lurco saga were very period oriented, they didn't play gentlemen in sandals (which worked perfectly). At the end of the campaign things heat up on that sense as well. Wait and see.

Hello Randall-

I am in the Mask of the Funeral Clown section now and it is true that they are not playing gentlemen so far. It is interesting and trying to get use to it.

I look forward to the end of the campaign to see how the things heat up.

Hello all-

So to all who plan on taking on this 60-70 hour series... Get ready.

The series is a bit more of information than battles. Some interesting battles and outcomes, some just seemed to be placed in there to fill in gaps and times.

Good twists and turns to get you thinking.

Though Randall is a good player and Keeper, I think that the too many hours of his broken English was a bit of a slow down to the game play; his Keepering of a 2-3 hour game is good enough for me.

This first series of a pre-1900 era was interesting to listen to and learn. Interesting how the players played their characters in this era compared to the norm eras of 1890-present.

Kudos to Mike and his knowledge. ^5
